Redesign of a website for clothing company, with online shopping functionality. I designed about 10 Photoshop comps for this, which we sent to India for development. That was a real pleasure, not to have to deal with the yucky parts of the coding. They tried to pass off the files to us a few times before the working site actually looked like the designs we had given to them. At the end we took it with a couple design glitches that I was able to go in and fix, seemed like it would be cheaper and faster than spending any more time trying to explain to them why the background PNG they had sliced was incorrect. Anyway, looks like everything works now, and we’re all pretty happy with it.

Brett Lee is an old acquaintance from the Ink Monkey Graphics days. He’s now running for city council in Davis. This was a fun project for me – political campaign websites have a pretty strict mold of what they’re supposed to look like, red white and blue, for starters. I found it to be a fun challenge, to try and work within those guidelines and yet still brand this candidate as unique.

An online visual portfolio for painter Kristie Fujiyama Kosmides.

This is a four-color print I designed based on some classic ski t-shirt designs I’d found. The skier figure in the design looks a little more modern than the typography, but I don’t mind the juxtaposition of new and old here.

Same graphic as before, except now it’s on a red hooded sweatshirt. Remember that Adam Sandler song? “Red hooded sweatshirt”? I guess I don’t really remember it all that well, either.

Pretty understated, as far as bowling shirts go. The two red stripes across the chest are supposed to be like the red stripes on the neck of a bowling pin.

Did you know that there is a herd of buffalo in Golden Gate Park? True story.

This design was based on an old Japanese beer bottle label. We also printed it in an alternate color way for men’s short sleeve tees.

This is a website I’m especially proud of. Victoria Mimiaga is a painter who paints landscapes, still lifes, and portraits. She had a web portfolio that was built with Flash. My job was to build a new site in standard HTML that would work better for social media, search engine optimization, and non-Flash browsers. I built a new image gallery using Jquery, and added blog functionality by building the site with a WordPress CMS.
